About the Firm

Background

Barbara (“Bobbie”) Taggart entered the accounting field in 1988 after a successful career at U C Berkeley as a research associate in microbiology.  She earned her M. S. in Taxation in 1998 while working as an accountant in the San Francisco Bay Area and gaining the requisite experience for her CPA credentials.

Since 1992, she has worked in the tax field, first serving two years as a sales and use tax auditor for the Board of Equalization before moving to public accounting. Between 1995 and 2004, she worked as a tax specialist with mid-size CPA firms serving high net worth clients and their businesses. In 2005, she opened her own practice in Grass Valley in the Sierra foothills.

Mission

Barbara's mission is to help clients comply with the tax laws while striving to minimize their tax burden. This requires open communication to reach an understanding of her clients' circumstances, thorough research and sound analysis. She is dedicated to meeting these goals with high standards of excellence and professionalism.
